Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions form part of the Agreement made between Torico Performance Bikes and the Hirer.
It is hereby agreed as follows:
TORICO Performance Bikes ( SARL) rent bicycles reserved by prior reservation or hired from 93 Rue du Bourg, Morzine.
Payment
Online: a 25% non refundable deposit will be taken on bookings made online. Payment for the full period of bike hire becomes due on arrival for the first day of rental.
A credit card deposit is also required for all bike hire, the card will be held as a deposit , and returned on the safe, undamaged return of the hired bike. Please also bring with you on arrival your passport which we will keep a copy of.[see full terms and conditions].
Last minute: For clients wishing to hire locally, without advance online booking, may hire a bike/bikes with a credit card payment. The hire fee and the deposit will be taken.
Cancellation of a bike hire reservation
A rebooking fee of £20 per booking (not per bike) will be applied for any requested changes (i.e. date change). This covers the cost of re-listing the bikes on the web site to allow for re-hiring.
Pandemics
No financial refund will be issued for all bike hire bookings made in advance but unable to be utilised during any pandemic notified by the Government. Bookings can be rolled forward, this roll over period will last for 12 months from the original reservation date.
Service
Bikes can be collected and delivered to our premises. If your bike hire is for more than 2 consecutive days, we ask you to return to the premises with the bike every 2 days for our mechanics to ensure good maintenance and rolling of the bikes.
Rented Equipment
Bicycles and equipment (helmets and protections) hired on a rental agreement remain the property of Torico Performance Bikes. The hirer is obliged to take good care of the bicycle(s) hired and to take all precautions necessary to protect them from damage, loss or theft.
The hirer is responsible for informing Torico Performance Bikes of any damage or loss sustained to or from the bicycle during the period of hire.
On return of the hired equipment, we will examine the equipment and, if satisfied that there are no losses or damage, will return credit card deposit. If for any reason a full inspection is not possible at the time of return (e.g. You are in a hurry, or another person returns the bike on your behalf) the deposit will be retained until such examination can be carried out.
Should any damage be sustained to the bicycle or any components during the hire period, the hirer is responsible for the full replacement cost at current market price of the whole or part of the bicycle so damaged. In selecting to confirm the reservation and signing this agreement the hirer are accepting that any damage found to the bicycle after return will be charged to the credit card. In such circumstances will be informed by email of details of the damage and amount charged.
Important: The hirer will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the bicycle, at current market price, if it is lost or stolen during the period of hire.
Collection of bicycles at the beginning of hire
By accepting the bicycle(s) the hirer accepts that they receives the bike in a good technical, safe and clean condition. The bicycles must be returned in the same condition in which they left the shop.
Liability in case of accident
Torico Performance Bikes does not provide any cover nor cannot accept any liability for potential liability to third parties (i.e. damage caused to others or their property). It is recommended that you take out insurance to cover such liability or ensure that your holiday insurance covers this. If in doubt, check with your insurance company.
It is recommended that you carry your insurance documentation and identification with you at all times whilst cycling. Torico Performance Bikes does not accept any liability for any damage or injury to the hirer during the period of hire. Helmets can be provided. It is the hirer’s own responsibility to ensure that they comply with the traffic laws at all times.
